The European Artistic Craft Days (EACD) are taking place between 2 and 7 April 2024. The 18th edition’s theme, « Little fingers, expert hands » invites people of all ages to immerse themselves in the world of crafts. This year’s edition will shine a spotlight on Portugal and its heritage of craftsmanship.

The WCCE’s call for grants has received over 220 applications from over 20 countries, covering a wide array of crafts, including glass blowing, woodworking, pottery, jewellery making, millinery, clock making, broom making and many more – a testament to the rich and thriving nature of European crafts and craftsmanship.

40 grants are being awarded to fund a diverse range of activities, such as family workshops, live demonstrations, seminars and exhibitions across 18 countries, including newcomers like Ukraine, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Initiated in 2002 by the French government, the European Artistic Craft Days (EACD) are coordinated by the Institut National des Métiers d’Art (INMA). Due to their success in France, they now take place across Europe and offer a chance to showcase craftsmanship and living heritage to over 2 million visitors in over 24 countries.
