| 14:40 – 14:55 | Stefano Micelli Stefano Micelli published his authoritative analysis of Italian artisanal craft Futuro Artigiano in 2011. His research shows how artisan traditions have evolved to include sophisticated contemporary tools and technologies. Central to his work is how craftsmanship, using a local and digital-based approach, can be the key to the international future of manufacturing diffused prosperity, especially in the face of mass-produced industrial design. |
| 15:00 – 15:15 | Sophie Rowley Sophie Rowley is a textile artist based in Berlin. With an academic background in textile design, she completed the MA Material Futures at Central Saint Martins in London in 2014. Her interest lies in exploring the future and past of materiality by developing her own techniques to work with materials and by learning from traditional crafts. She questions material values in the context of process, using these techniques to push the physicality of textiles in order to reveal new aesthetics. Her work has been exhibited internationally and she has been shortlisted for various awards such as most recently the Loewe craft prize. |
| 15:20 – 15:35 | Adrianus Kundert Adrianus Kundert is a Rotterdam-based designer that combines his conceptual skills with a great sense for form and colour. Graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2015, he is strongly fascinated with the ever-changing appearance of objects and the increase of durability when implementing this notion in the design process. |
