Norwegian Crafts launched on the 5th of November a new online magazine: The Vessel.
Since the founding of NC in 2012 they’ve been running several projects within theory development, including a book series called Documents on Contemporary Crafts and an online article section for craft mediation and artist interviews.
«The pandemic gave us the time and space to focus on developing a new platform, and we’re very proud to announce the imminent launch of The Vessel – a new online magazine about crafts and material culture«.
The Vessel looks at the world through a craft lens – showcasing making practices, visual expressions, and material knowledge from a multitude of perspectives. The Vessel will publish online issues every few months. The first issue is due to launch later this month and will deal with archives and museum collections.
