WCC Europe is organizing an online workshop on the 7th of March, 10-12 AM CET, to inform and generate a debate with our members and interested stakeholders around Geographical Indicators for the Crafts Sector in Europe. The meeting will be led by WCCE in collaboration with Audrey Aubard, representing the French Association of Industrial and Draft Geographical Indications (AFIGIA). AFIGIA was born when the GI system was opened for industrial & craft products. They currently represent 17 members and 95% of the protected geographical indications in France and many GI projects.
The European Commission is working on a legislative proposal that will be issued during the first semester of 2022 and we consider that is time to have a common ground on this topic.
