This year, the International Craft Awards has entered its 7th edition. The Awards were instituted in 2017 to honour talents beyond artisans to include everyone working in crafts sector,: be it masters, designers, institutions, councils, organizations, governments or brands; recognising their tireless work in sustainable development: elevating the standards of crafts communities by building dignity and better quality of life.
In the past 7-years, more than 2287 applications have been received from 61-countries making it the first global craft awards to bring on board everyone within the craft sector from across the world. Known for setting the highest standard and benchmark for the Craft Sector in selection of entries to selecting the deserving winners, one of the best juries in the world has been raising the bar year on year.
It was the vision of Late Dr. Ghada Hijjawi-Qaddumi, Former President, WCC-International to increase the global presence of this award, so that more and more categories within the Craft Sector are included every year for finding and recognizing new talents.
If you, the one who has made a difference in the Craft Sector, have done extraordinary work, you can now apply for this award. Also, you can kindly share this information with talented artisans, craftsmen, ministry, and organizations of your country so that talented individual/s and organizations may get an opportunity to be a part of this global award ceremony.
