The Spanish Ministry of Industry and Tourism, through the School of Industrial Organization (EOI) and Fundesarte, has announced the XVII Spanish National Craft Awards. The yearly awards emphasise contemporary crafts with a strong focus on innovation, design, and market adaptation.

They aim to enhance the competitiveness of small and medium-sized craft businesses while maintaining the essence of traditional craftsmanship. The categories include a prestigious top prize of 7,000€ for consolidated work, and additional 3,000€ awards for outstanding products, entrepreneurship, and promotion in both public and private sectors.

Last year’s awards attracted 66 applications from across Spain, with significant participation from Andalusia, Galicia, and Madrid, highlighting sectors such as textiles, ceramics, glass, and wood.

The call is open for submissions to Spanish craftspeople until 4 July.
