The Michelangelo Foundation has launched calls for two exciting opportunities for craftspeople to participate in programmes related to Homo Faber taking place in Venice 1-30 September 2024. Applications for the Young Ambassador’s programme close on the 8th of March 2024 and for the Fellowship programme 15th of March 2024.

“Homo Faber Fellowship is a 7-month sponsored professional integration programme designed for duos of master artisans and craft graduates. Participants will develop business and marketing knowledge, as well as design and hands-on practical skills through transmission from one generation to the next. The programme is developed with the support of Jaeger-LeCoultre who share our vision for the future of craftsmanship. The second edition is taking place from September 2024 to March 2025 in partnership with local members of the Foundation’s network.”

The programme is open to duos consisting of recent craft graduates and master artisans. More details and the link to apply can be found on the Homo Faber website → here.

“An enriching cultural experience, the Young Ambassadors Programme is a unique opportunity for craft and design students to showcase their enthusiasm for craft to visitors of Homo Faber 2024. It offers a chance to meet designers, artisans and creative students from across the world and to forge new connections. Established in 2018, the programme is facilitated through a partnership with Fondazione Giorgio Cini.”

The programme is open to craft and design students and/or those keen to pursue training in craft and design aged between 18-35 years who have not yet participated in more than one edition of the programme. More details and the link to apply can be found on the Homo Faber website → here.
