Flourish is the Crafts Council’s professional development conference for makers and designers taking place at Goldsmiths’ Hall on 17-18 June and aimed primarily at those who have been in practice for at least 4 years.
A different set of topics and speakers will be presented each day but overall Flourish will provide:
-Business skills, toolkits and practical sessions that makers can confidently apply to their practice
-Inspiration, case-studies and real-life experience from industry experts
-The chance to connect with other makers and creative professionals to build networks and create exciting opportunities
Our speakers include Lulu Lytle, co-founder of Soane Britain who will be delivering the keynote speech; Ross Lovegrove acclaimed international designer, pioneer in innovation in design and multiple award-winner; Morag Myerscough prolific multi-disciplinary designer who has made work for Design Museum, Formula 1 and Venice Biennale to name but a few; Felicity Aylieff Senior Tutor in ceramics & glass at RCA and artist of international standing recognised for her large-scale ceramics and many more.
Topics include: how to grow a brand, strategic ways to increase income, how to interact with collectors, sustainability in design, how collaborations can help creative businesses and many more
